Global Expansion Success: Crayon’s APAC story

In Announcements, Thought Leadership

Crayon first moved into the Asia Pacific Region four years ago, and in such a short time has seen rapid successes, including establishing several offices, snapping up local thought-leaders and most impressively winning the highly coveted Microsoft Partner of the Year award for the best partner country in the world.

Crayon is a trusted adviser to many of the globe's leading organizations, which made growth and development into the Asia Pacific region a logical step.

“We have a strong reputation among our customers and vendors and know that there are tremendous growth opportunities in local markets,” said Crayon CEO Torgrim Takle. “Due to that and the increasing demands for our services we’ve invested in those regions to help even more organizations to securely optimize their IT estates.”

Crayon currently has several offices and more than 80 employees in the region, and it’s continuing to grow.

“I'm very proud of the team here in APAC and what they have delivered in a very short time, said Florent Bellahsene, Crayon APAC Vice PresidentBy aligning our global cloud strategy, we are able to deliver maximum value to our partners and customers while providing them with a solid foundation of local contact points, support and ever-expanding services and expertise for many years to come.’’

One of the biggest successes in the region goes to Crayon Philippines, which was awarded Microsoft’s global Country Partner of the Year. It was chosen among 2,900 award entrants from 115 countries and recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services, as well as representing excellent subsidiary engagement in Philippines.

Meanwhile, Crayon Sri Lanka became Microsoft’s Indirect Cloud Solution Provider of the Year for South East Asia. Also, Crayon Indonesia, which was founded just last month, has already been recognized by Microsoft as a key License Solution Provider.

Crayon’s exponential growth in APAC is partly fueled by its approach to strengthen the local resources.

For example in 2018, the acquisition of a well-known IT asset management firm in Singapore was a seamless transaction as both the target and Crayon were highly specialized in best practices.

Crayon acquired and absorbed teams from Flexera in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. With close links to existing customer-bases across the region, there’s been many notable client successes to Crayon ANZ Pty Ltd‘s name since it was formed in April.

The rapid progress achieved in the Asia Pacific region is a testament to Crayon’s drive to maintain its competitive advantages while remaining flexible, innovative and client-focused. The steps taken thus far are only the start – watch this space!
